Your privacy at Suddeco Homes.

This notice explains, in plain English, what information Suddeco Homes collects when you use this site, why we collect it, the legal basis we rely on under UK data protection law, and the rights you have over your information. It applies to suddecohomes.com.

Who we are

Suddeco Homes is a service of Suddeco Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 14354951). Suddeco Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice — meaning we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us about anything in this notice at hello@suddeco.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to show you what you can build at your address, to draw and price a concept for you, and to follow up about it.

Details you give us

When you ask us to draw or price a project, book a free survey, or get in touch, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number, where you provide it, so we can call you back and arrange your survey
Your property address or postcode
Your project selections — the project type, room, style and options you choose, and any message or notes you add

Information from your use of the site

We record basic usage events — for example, which options you viewed and which buttons you pressed, along with general technical information such as device type and approximate region — so we can understand what is useful and improve the experience. This is kept in a limited form and is not used to build a detailed profile of you.

Property and planning information

To generate your concept set we use publicly available and licensed property and planning information for the address you enter — such as title and energy records, mapping, and the public record of planning decisions near you. We do not need an account password or your payment-card details to produce your concept and render.

How we use it

To generate your concept drawings, render and an indicative price for your address.
To respond to your enquiry, answer questions, and arrange your free survey.
To follow up with you by email or phone about your project, and to send you information about options relevant to what you asked for.
To create and set up your Suddeco project if you choose to continue, and to connect you with the architects, engineers, interior designers and builders you need to take it forward.
To improve the accuracy of our drawings and the quality and security of the service.
To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

Our legal basis for using your information

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. We rely on the following:

Legitimate interests	To respond to your enquiry, generate your concept and render, follow up about your project, connect you with the right professionals, keep the service secure and prevent misuse, and improve our drawings and service. Our interest is running and growing a useful design-and-build service; we balance it against your rights and only use what is reasonably needed.
Consent	Where consent is required — for example certain marketing messages, or non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting anything we did beforehand.
Contract	Where you go on to start a project or book a paid step with us, to take the steps you ask for and to deliver what you have agreed.
Legal obligation	Where we have to keep or disclose information to comply with the law, including our tax and accounting duties.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with the people and services we need to deliver what you have asked for, and only as far as necessary:

Our service providers — the trusted suppliers who help us run the site and deliver the service, such as hosting, communications, scheduling and analytics. They act on our instructions, under contract, and may only use your information to provide their service to us.
The professionals who deliver your project — where you choose to take a project forward, the architects, engineers, interior designers, surveyors and builders we connect you with, so they can prepare and carry out your work.
Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required to share information to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
A successor — if our business or assets are reorganised or transferred, your information may pass to the new owner, who must continue to protect it as set out here.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential — they make the site work and keep it secure. Others are analytics cookies that help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Non-essential cookies are only used where permitted, and you can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry and project information for as long as we need it to provide the service, to follow up with you, and to meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations — and no longer than is necessary for those purposes. After that we securely delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information. You can ask us to:

Access — give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
Rectify — correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erase — delete your information where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
Restrict — limit how we use your information while a query is resolved.
Object — object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests, and object to direct marketing at any time.
Port — receive certain information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another provider.
Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@suddeco.com. We will respond within the time the law allows (usually one month) and we will not charge you in normal cases. We may need to confirm your identity first. These rights are not absolute, and in some cases we may be entitled to decline a request in whole or in part — if so, we will explain why.

How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure — including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting access to those who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and to deal promptly with any issue.

We may update this notice from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
