Party wall in London, handled alongside your design
Party wall notices and awards for work affecting a shared wall or boundary, handled alongside the design so the programme does not stall. Designed, approved and built by Suddeco.
Indicative render, confirmed on surveyFrequently asked
Does my project need a party wall notice?
If you are cutting into a shared wall, building on the boundary, or excavating near a neighbour's foundations, yes. Notice periods are one or two months depending on the work, so it is one of the first things to start, not the last.
What if my neighbour objects?
An objection is normal and is not a veto. It moves the work to a party wall award, agreed by surveyors, which records the condition of both properties and sets how the work proceeds. The project still goes ahead.
Who pays for it?
The building owner — you — normally pays, including the adjoining owner's surveyor where an award is needed. We tell you the likely cost at the start rather than when it arrives.
Does Suddeco do the building work itself?
Yes — all of it. Suddeco designs, handles planning and delivers the build with its own project management.
