Flooring in London, laid on a base prepared properly
Flooring in London: screeds, levelling, engineered wood, tiling and finishes laid on a base that has been prepared properly. Designed, approved and built by Suddeco.
Indicative render, confirmed on surveyFrequently asked
Why does the base matter more than the floor?
Because almost every flooring failure is a base failure: an uneven screed, a damp slab or a bouncing joist. We level and prepare first, which is invisible in a photograph and decides whether the floor lasts.
Can I have the same floor throughout?
Usually yes, and it makes a house feel larger. It needs the levels to match at every threshold, which is something to set at drawing stage rather than discover on site.
Engineered wood or tiles over underfloor heating?
Both work if chosen for it. Tile and stone conduct heat best; engineered wood is fine within the manufacturer's temperature limits. Solid timber is the one to avoid.
Does Suddeco do the building work itself?
Yes — all of it. Suddeco designs, handles planning and delivers the build with its own project management.
