Garage conversions in London, designed and built by Suddeco
Garage conversions in London: insulation, floor levels, drainage and the building regulations work that turns a garage into a usable room. Designed, approved and built by Suddeco.
Indicative render, confirmed on surveyFrequently asked
Do I need planning permission to convert my garage?
Usually not, if it is internal and the property is not in a conservation area or subject to a condition requiring parking to be retained. We check both at your address before you commit.
What does the work involve?
Infilling the garage door, raising and insulating the floor, insulating walls and roof, damp proofing, heating, electrics and ventilation to building regulations. The result should feel like part of the house, not a converted garage.
How long does it take?
Most single garage conversions run four to six weeks on site once drawings and approvals are in place. The approvals are usually the longer half, which is why we start them first.
Does Suddeco do the building work itself?
Yes — all of it. Suddeco designs, handles planning and delivers the build with its own project management.
